could it have been 123 Victoria Hotel 162 Cleveland Street
which I think was nicknamed the round house
It used to be on the other side of the road from
124 North Western Hotel 185 Cleveland Street
It was on the corner of Freeman st as you were going to the 4 bridges

My mistake, was driving along clevland street and as i passed through the lights at duke street, i glanced up towards the grand trunk and got mixed up by thinking i was looking at the park view with the name grand trunk on one side of the building. {blame tesco as that where i had this last pair of glasses made up}

Your right it was on the corner of Patten Street and Corporation Road. I think it had shut and gone even before that Film star/Actor killed himself while driving up Lansdowne Road one night {he drove into that dead end on the left hand side as you went up Lansdowne.} Think his name was Bonny Calino or some think like that. It was a long time ago, any body remember it happening

I was told it was in Corporation Road coming up towards St James Church

Bonar Colleano died, aged 34, when he crashed his sports car in Birkenhead shortly after exiting the Queensway tunnel. He was driving back from Liverpool's New Shakespeare Theatre, where he had been appearing in a stage production of Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? His passenger, fellow actor and friend Michael Balfour, required 98 stitches, but he eventually recovered.

The pub that was where the argos is now, yes it was called the argyle. but dont forget it was a modern new building and had taken the name argyle from the original Argyle pub which was part of the building that ws bombed during the war {the argyle theater} the pub section of the building remained usuable after the bomb that destroyed the rest of the building and stayed open for years after the war was over. It was on the corner of Argyle Street and Oliver Street
