http://www.hopenothate.org.uk/vrdrive/On 1 December, if the Government gets its way, up to 2 million people will drop off the electoral register - in what will be the single biggest act of disenfranchisement in our history.
You can check the drop off in your area here.
If that wasn’t bad enough, there are another 8m people who are not on the register at all. That equates to 19% of the adult population do not currently have the vote.
This is an outrage and HOPE not hate is determined to do something about it.
HOPE not hate is joining with a broad range of organisations to make November our Voter Registration month and we are inviting you to get involved. Whether you are an individual who wants to join one of our Voter Registration drives, a member of a faith or community group who wants to promote voter sign-up in their networks or a local councillor who wants to increase the electorate in his or her ward, we can help.
By signing up to our November Voter drive we can supply you with the tools you need to run a successful voter drive.
This website will act as a hub for our November drive, with events promoted and searchable on our map, and campaign and Voter Registration stories added regularly.
We will launch our campaign on 4 November, a day we have designated Democracy Day.
On this day there will be events throughout the country and a massive push on social media to encourage people to register to vote.
More details about this day will be posted shortly, so please check back.
Voting is the lifeblood of any democracy and we urge you to join us to ensure the maximum number of people can access this democratic right before the 1 December deadline.
