Queen Bicycle Race Hi am having a Problem my youngest lad has a Hellcat with 29 wheels. The problem is rear wheel the inner-tube keeps ripping by Valve I believe I bought wrong tyre as valve is very thin metal with the valve wobbly on top. Don't know nothing about these new bikes so light and thin. I think the tyre I bought is for a road racing tyre not for woods. Have placed photo to see what you think as he needs to get it fixed for college. Any advice appreciated as he is so grumpy without his bike. Thanks
If you still have the old tyre you should be able to see what size on the wall of the tyre. Otherwise any bike shop will soon tell you. Difficult from your pics.
Yes Owner Of The Lonely Heart Government giving out Bike Voucher`s will try and get one and my lad can wheel down bike to Nearest bike shop. Checked Tyre both 29 the original tyre was completely bald so his friend gave him one thoe width a little wider. When bought a New inner tube with a Presta Valve ( Original Schrader Valve i believe ) thought it looked weak. Anyway placed the inner tube in and felt ok so lad went out 4 hours later came back puncture. Took tyre off and was ripped just below valve believe the Schrader inner tube went same way. So must be rubbing against the metal Valve hole in picture. I believe its the wrong tyre even with Valve locked with Nut the inner tube still ripping. So off to bicycle shop the bikes today so frail slightest knock breaks my old bike hammer, adjustable spanner, pliers and oil with a huge tin of Swarfega from stork
Lynyrd Skynyrd Home Sweet Alabama Was tyre i bought a schrader Valve inner-tube tried his old tyre and worked fine so told him to return tyre to his mate and buy correct tyre from Halford`s
