![[Linked Image]](http://web.mac.com/gillgolf/iWeb/MHGC%20Main%20Site/Home_files/Driving%20Range-filtered.jpg) Whether you're a fan of golf or not, visiting this place is a great day out. Theres a 30 bay driving range for anyone to practice on - young or old. I think it's about £5.50 for 50 balls, and about £7.50 for 100. Well worth a visit. A great laugh even if you can't hit the ball like me! lol Its at Tarren Way in Moreton Website

me and the lads from work used to go there after work.
we just used the driving range...half of us can't even hit the balls and when we do, they bounce off the roof or roll 3ft infront of us, and the other half can whack it for miles.
Like I say, good laugh, and a great place to take the kids of a weekend.

Tbh, its pretty shit nowadays. When I used to go a few years back just to use the driving range, it was like £3.00 for 100 balls or £6.00 for 250, and now the prices have more then doubled. Also, the "course" is absolute shite, its six hole and you play it twice so its a 12 hole. There isnt much going on on it though, its very uneventful and doesnt pose much in the way of challenge. Unless you want an expensive go at hitting some balls (eg. 50 balls will last barely an hour and thats taking it very very easy), your better looking elsewhere for a "day out". If you are interested in golf, ya better finding a Golf Club such as Bidston or Hoylake, which have proper courses and are club's (Moreton Hills isnt a Golf Club as the topic title says, its golf range). The great thing that there is however is the golf shop, which is excellent for a golfer. Nowadays I think the golf shop is the only thing they concentrate on, the "course" and driving range are just kept open because they already own the land for them and there is a small bit of interest. Otherwise it would just be a shop lol.

We could spice it up ? We all have a club, with a ball on a tee. Then Matty leg it across the range left to right, and no jumping lol Hit them balls as hard and as fast as you can lads.

Went there yesterday and had a good laugh with the other half.
Ok, so as Matty says, 50 balls will barely last an hour (about 45 mins) and it's not a "day out" experience, but its a good time nonetheless.
It's £4 for 50 balls, £5.50 for 75 or £6.50 (I think) for 100. You can hire clubs there if you don't have your own at the cost of a quid.
Theres baskets set out for target practiseif you like, but if you're crap at hitting it properly, just Grrr it an see how far you get.
The real fun is when the dude drives round on his little tractor thing collecting the balls....all you hear is *swoosh!-poow!*......"ahhh almost hit him" from nearly every bay every 2 seconds lol
And for those of you who didn't know, It's down tarren way opposite the entrance to the cadbury factory (now burton foods)
