Waddi; if you look on Google Earth (not Google maps)there's an orange marker of the location of Liscard & Poulton, with a photo linked. It's near where Mill Lane crosses the Kingsway Approach Rd.
Leasowe? where it's always been, I think; between Bidston & Moreton.

Cheers, Chris.

as drive up mill lane from the dock road look to the left of the bridge (over the tunnel approach) and you can still see the ramp that went down to the platform. smile

Chris

I had a good look at Google Earth and then went for a (cold) walk today. I am now sure the site of the Triangle pond is more or less under the walkway bridge they have built from the back of B&Qs over the rail line and onto the Country Park (old tip). Unfortunately the camera batteries wer flat so I will need to take another walk to get some pics

No, actually the ramp led down to the coal siding. The island platform was accessed by a covered overbridge leading off that ramp. cf. "Railway Stations of Wirral" page 49.

Cheers, Chris.

ahh, thats where I believed it was but when I went to look at the area, I saw the surrounding house and thought "none of these are new enough to have been built on the grounds of the old station". I didnt realise that the station was actually in the "tunnel approach", I knew the track was, but not the station.

thanks everyone.

I will save anymore questions for the wallasey village thread.
