thanks for the comments lads! im quite proud of it myself to say the least yes me and the old man will be doing it on the drive both the engine are identical to look at, the difference with the new(ish) one im putting in is it has, high comp pistons, higher lift cam and ecu and obv its a 2L ill be using the same gbox i have on now and all the mounts will be the same so its a straight swap 20bhp for £80 sounds good to me as they say "no replacement for displacement"

Hmmm I think I may have seen this yesterday (as in Sunday) afternoon going towards Tesco's roundabout, either that or there is a very much alike car driving around lol. I only caught a quickish glimpse, but if it was this car, it looks even better in real.

lol yep that was probably me, went to tescos and then new brighton. its a rare looking car because its a 5 door, they were only made i think from c reg to e reg so most of them are scrap

decidied to fit a golf VR6 front splitter as ive heared they fit pretty well didnt take much but of trimming glued and screwed still not 100% finished, needs joining in the middle but its on! her out on the road!
