Wow, crazy stuff, just browsing the BBC website again, and found this story, started reading it and realised it was in Rock Ferry lmao! Wirral makes the front page of the England section again! With a photo lol! A Wirral pub named in honour of a former poet laureate has had complaints because some locals claim its sign looks like Adolf Hitler.
Locals have nicknamed the John Masefield, in Rock Ferry, "The Adolf" because of the sign's resemblance to the Nazi leader.
But Seanie Walsh, who manages the pub, said he would not be dictated to and refused to change the picture.
Mr Walsh said: "That is what he looked like so the sign is to stay."
Masefield, who was made poet laureate in 1930, spent his Merchant Navy apprenticeship on HMS Conway, which was moored at Rock Ferry. I think people need to get with it lol, it dont even look that much like hitler and what does it matter anyway, its a public house ffs, their all too drunk to realise!  What a load of shit! As John Masefield shares the same birthday as me (not the same year though - 100 years previous..  ) 1st June 1878, and Hilters birthday was 20th April 1889, surely its Hitler that looks like John Masefield (in the sign), not the other way round

the drinks are quite cheap yea, more of a lounge than anything - have tv's in there but could do with music too...
oh and they have a smoking bit out the back so u arent engulfed in smoke before u even get in there lol

Performing Rights Society, interlinked with the MCPS, basically the people who take the license fee's from radio stations etc to distribute to record companies/artists in the UK.
I wonder how many of my streaming media clients have PRS licenses... not many probably lmao!
