Hmmmm just checking the seller out, and id be a little bit suspsicious by this too: great seller will be back for more from you thank you. Seller: autozone-uk ( 3715) 15-Jan-08 23:06 K-SEAL KSEAL RADIATOR, HEAD GASKET, COOLANT STOP LEAK (#270201237810) He bought it just last week K-Seal is used to rectify HGF. Doesnt do much else, doesnt do anything on the radiator side of things, usually used to stop either a leaking water pump, or more commonly, head gasket failiure. It works; but its touch and go, sometimes for 10,000 miles, other times for just 1,000 miles. Not guaranteed to stay working, and nobody would want to pay good money for a car with HGF. Looks like you got away just in time there fella!

Good job i walked away then or i would have been ripped off lol Yep, gotta be careful in this game; I hate buying car's never know if the car is gonna be a shitter. When I was looking for me Rover, found a nice 416SLi, the guy said it was mint, got there and it was a feckin shed, had a knocking sound when accelerating sometimes, the guy said he didnt know what it was, but it was the thrust release bearing imho. He tried to say it had a Honda engine so wouldnt suffer from HGF, wtf, it was a manual, they only used the Honda engine on the Auto, and the fact it had ROVER written on the engine cover kinda gave the game away. Brakes? It had no brakes, the back brakes were screwed, and the front ones were vibrating like fook under braking! The body work wasnt all he made it out to be either!! So much for it being "mint".

Anyway the car had some rust to the wing which the guy informed me of before I went to pick it up, he was pretty straight, said I could leave it if I wanted as he had done the work, but hadnt had time to paint it, so it needed painting. Got there, and he was again pretty sound, said take it for a test, if I didnt want it I could leave it no problem, especially as with it being a low mileage SDi it would sell again, he just needed to finish the painting on the wing. Anyway, bought it, and did the painting on the wing meself haha! Cost me £4.00 lmao! All in all, thats the type of seller ye wanna see tbh!

Lol yeah, mine was only in Northwich, but was still a good 50 - 60 mile trip. We had a concern over a rather loud buzzing noise coming from the engine, the seller said it was normal, but fortunatly Tony 1985's dad had served time at Rover, so he rang him and confirmed it was normal on the SDi. Since had it confirmed on the MG Rover forums too. Good job me and Scott went with Tony or else I would have walked away cos of that!!
