Last night down W Kirby if your talking about the crash (I havnt read all the above comments).
Oh and again, I havnt read the comments but a 5 stud conversion will be ALOT of work. Remember, there is sure a thing as overkill with regards to stopping power, you dont want to be locking your wheels all the time

Kris and CLJ
5 stud conversion, forget it,really do,its far far too much work.Rear beam off a mk1 or 2 mondie, why?? ive never seen a mk1 or 2 mondie with 5 studs,AFAIK they only came with 4 studs.and i doubt the rear beam wud fit anyway, and what wud u gain?? Heres what will fit ur car mate
most wheels from a ford of the 90s era escort wheels mk1 and 2 mondie mk3 and 4 and 5 fez
Offset may be different but not hugely and spacers can sort this
Brakes situation Standard ford (or pattern part) discs and pads for escorts (all other than the RS) are small and weak and quite frankly, scarily shit if someones slammed on in front of u Uprated standard size, dont have personal experience of these but a)theyre very expensive b)theyre still only 240mm Bigger discs(which need the calipers and pads for the car they're suplied with) u can use 260mm RS2000 discs, calipers and pads (bolt STRAIGHT on) mk1 or 2 poverty mondeos 260mm discs, pads and calipers (same as above but caliper mounting may be different,u may need to drill the mounts out,as below) mk1 or 2 mondie V6 brakes 278mm,u need calipers discs and pads, mega improved braking (they stop a V6 mondie well so imagine them on a smaller car)(some modification needed, check escortevo for details) Cosworth 278mm set-up (available from certain cossies, check evo for details).same setup as above but MAY be fitted differently but do the same thing when on Focus ST170 300mm setup, mega braking but pretty expensive, high demand for the calipers demand high prices, discs and pads are just as costly as if u were replacing brakes on the ST itself,im not sure how much a pair of ST170 discs and pads cost PROPER 4 pot stuff, wilwood and brembo sype stuff in 300mm+ sizes, very very costly (maybe get some second hand ones, maybe ones for a cossie (and adapt ur mounts so "cossie fit" calipers go on so in summary the v6/cossie set up is a good comprimise, the RS2k brakes are better than standard size OEM,and standard size EBC,but are still not fantastic when compared with NEW cars, the cossie/v6 setup is designed to stop 200+BHP cossies so it stops escorts fantastically
Rears I know that SOME escort RS2ks came with rear discs,u can fit these to ANY escort with some nouse,u need the rear beam and handbrake cable from the RS (complete rear beams 150 quid including discs and pads...on evo) i dont know of any other rear beams that u'd want to fit
Me myself i want the V6 mondie set-up,but its a matter of money, and do i want the car for much longer???

scoop..what keeps telling you that you have a virus? it could be spyware pretending you have a virus to make you click and install even more harmful software.
if it is the trojan im thinking of, all it is doing is pretending to be windows genuine advantage software so all you need to do is press ctrl, alt, del, go to processes and click end task on "wgavn". It may also be running as a service so to remove it from there, go to start > settings > control panel > admin tools > services and look for it in the list, click stop if it's there then right click on it, go to properties and under startup type, shance it from automatic to disbaled. It may also be running in the registry startup - to remove this, click start > run and type "msconfig" without the quotes and clcik the startup tab. Look for anything that looks unusual like "fghd554" or bears the name "wgavn" or similar and uncheck it. then click apply and restart. download or run AVG antivirus if you already have it and also get ad-aware run both of these and do a complete scan and quarentine or remove any unwanted finds. once you have done this, clear your temp IE folder which should be in c:\ > windows > i think. delete all files in there and it should be gone. You may want to restart and do another quick scan with avg to see if it is still running.
I have some pics of the crash last night and I'll put them up for people to see cas it was pretty bad and they're damn lucky to be alive
