thats bad, its meant to be 24th of april in the states, and we're meant to get it the following sunday, I think someone will be downloading it from now on.

just checked the ABC website, it confirms a US return date of LOST series 4 of April 24th.

so why are they making us wait?

Wow calm down Waddi; dont blame Sky ffs, blame the makers of the darn programme, all Sky do is purchase the rights to show the programme, they then have to abide by the terms of those rights. They have no control over when they are allowed to show it, would you rather they showed it early and therefore breached the terms laid down by the series producers and actually forfeited rights to the programme altogether?

If they could show it on the same day as the US broadcast, do you really think they would choose not to, given the amount of money they are paying for it?? The likelyhood is, Sky don't even recieve the broadcast material until a week before scheduled transmission anyway!!

Its not the first time this has happened, and it certainly will not be the last. So you best get used to it. It's been going on for years.

If you really need it that bad, move to the US lol... it's just like Doctor Who doesnt get shown in the US until a few months after the airing in this country, because that is the terms of the rights contract that CBC and Sci-Fi have... in fact Sci-Fi for instance are running almost a year behind!!

Its just the way life is!! I know it's frustrating, but believe it or not, we have it quite good in this country, such is the power and financial clout of our television industry, THANKS to the likes of Sky.

The 1st half of series 4 was shown in the US on the thursday and then we would get to see it on SKY ONE on the sunday, just 4 days later, and that was only beacuse SKY wanted to keep it at its Sunday night 9pm slot.

SKY actually make LOST available through SKY anytime on Saturdays, so the they must have license to brodcast it earlier than they actually do, again to keep with their traditional sunday night 9pm time slot.

So why do we have to wait longer for the second half of the series. IMHO it will affect their ratings.

When I and others I know only had to wait 4days from US to UK, we would wait and watch it on SKY ONE, but we will have to wait 10days from US to UK now, and that temptation to download it will oh so much more tempting.
