I keep mine in the fridge. If you were to put more toffees in it might start to solidify.

Red witches were cider, pernod and blackcurrant. The MD's were evil I remember the ones in the little green cans, think that was mad dog too. I'm thinking Shambo's recipie would make a great ice cream flavour

Thats a new one on me matey! Lived in the old USSR for a while in the 90`s, cool place! Bloody hot in summer and stupid cold in winter! I lived with a Russian family and some of the things they put in vodka are amazing! My fave was Menthol throat sweets (or their equivelant!!) clears the nasal and head, but what a rush!! Drink it neat or with ice, no mixers (CRIMINAL!!!) Place i wouldnt mind going back to!

I know what you mean Hoseman. One of the best places for vodka was the vodka bar in Harrogate - never seen so many different flavours in my life and they were all from Russia.
Also, Cambridge has a big Russian & Polish community. Ex hubby worked with a lot of them and some of the states he used to come home in (or not sometimes) was amazing.

Aye, thats the joy of vodka. Because it's a 'neutral' spirit it takes very well to flavourings and cocktails. I used to live above a Polish Ex Servicemens Club in Bristol and they gave me a crash course in vodka..... and absinthe. Thankfully I didn't have to stagger far from the bar, (in the basement), to my flat, (on the top floor). Bison was my fave, but I've only ever seen it sold in Revolution vodka bars round these parts. Maybe the expanding Polish population in New Brighton will sort that out. I've noticed a few places now selling Stolichnaya Russian vodka which gets the Shambo seal of approval, it's quality. Absolut too, (most Scandinavian vodka's really), but not the flavoured ones, (when you can have fun flavouring then yourself).

Absinthe is divine! I was lucky enough to have been bought Black Absinthe as a gift a few years ago - it was evil but was a very pleasant tasting internal hot water bottle in the winter I have a few Polish friends and have to say, I've never met drinkers like them I can't keep up with them! Stolichnaya is a very nice vodka - probably one of the smoothest, slips down very easily (too easily) but my Gods the head the next day
