A woman died in a fire at a house in Wirral.
Two children at the house on Orretts Meadow on the Woodchurch estate in Birkenhead escaped the blaze before raising the alarm.
Firefighters discovered the body of a woman aged in her 40s in a first-floor bedroom.
The two children were taken to hospital.
A fire investigation team is currently at the house to try to discover the cause of the blaze.
