think you have made an error, the Harp is the next pub along Old Chester Road , before you get to the Crooked Billet

surely that one was The Fleece or Golden Fleece
I can remember as you came out of Chamberlain St turned left it was the first pub you came to
On the corner was an auto electrician shop then a chippy

I think the Harp was 55 Old Chester Rd and the Crooked Billet was Queens Place, Old Chester Rd

Also came across site giving Prince William as 55 Old chester Rd, so Prince william must have been the Harp inn

Josie Ryans is also closed now

Both these pubs look like they will be knocked down soon

I think it may have originally been the Dalby inn, although on the map there appears to be more buildings by it than there are today

The so called prince william was The Harp originally and there has been a pub on that site for around eight hundred years making it one of the oldest pub sites in Wirral. I remember it being floodlit green decades ago. Somebody bought it and fortheir own reasons renamed it the prince william. The locals didn't like this as the pub sign was attacked and ripped off early on. It closed through public support falling away as people came to the conclusion it had become sectarian. It went bust. It would be a shame if this building is lost.
