wasnt there a infamous murder that took place here where the post master was locked in to the building there was no way in or out but some one managed to kill him??
It all makes perfect sense expressed in dollars and cents ,pound shillings and pence
The Cool Room used to be a Funeral parlour the Basement which is know the cool room is where the bodys where layed out but dont quote me on this.. The building next to it know the Regenville (buffet 88) used to be the post office The first time i went to the Regentivill i was overwheled by the Atmosphere of the joint very atmospheric gotta be haunted 100%
There have been quite few different clubs in this stretch of building over the years. One of the best known in the early 60s was the Cubik, where several later famous pop bands played.

That`s right mate and there was a brutal murder committed in there, either postmaster or night man was bludgeoned to death,in the very same building.I have often had arguments with (shall we say the old school)that the post office was in Argyle St and always has been. They did not like being corrected on thier own history by a younger generation.lol.
Aye If anyone whos senseitive and goes to Buffet 88 go up stairs and just pretend to go the toilet or something and then go and stand near the door sometimes its open and the stairs go up and feel how wierd it is.. Its not nice at all..
The New Orleans (AKA the Beach AKA the Cool Room) used to be called Ma Bakers - (famous for being a grab-a-granny establishment)
The Beech was seperate from the cool rooms, cool rooms is the night club underneath the beech. You are right, cool rooms was once called Ma Bakers (grab a granny lol)it was also called pink flamingo`s at one time as well.
You're not wrong there Dava, It was quite grim in there at times. When the upstairs was called New Orleans downstairs was called Basin Street
Ah that`s right, that was the other name I was trying to think off,and it was bloody pitch black.Do you remember at all when they had a burger bar down there,we used to call them blood burgers, cos that`s what used to ooze out of them.EEEEEEEEWWWWWW.
