I remember those names well. Especially Mr. Pike, got that three times in one lesson!
What about Jock Mowatt (Maths) and his well used taped up cricket bat.
Ted Edgar and his cane Tickling Toby.
Other teachers I remember were;
Ben Lyons Dinky Dollard Froggy Allan KP Jones Taffy Evans
What years were you there?
I went from 70-75 and was in Atkin

The best place for those was New Brighton just by the indoor fair, they had one inside the fair and a door leading in off the front. One day while working in Heswall and finishing early, me and the lad who works for me decided to go to New Brighton and get some Doughnuts, like a firms outing. As soon as we walked through the door the Fat fryer blew up covering the girl in hot fat, we covered her in wet tea towels and called for the ambulance and of course had a few doughnuts that were already made while we waited for the ambulance to come. Ever since then they have been known as Exploders.
I remember that Donut Shop too. They were the only place that i knew that sold them, but being a tight git i did think they were expensive. But that shop and the smell of Donuts would fill the air of the indoor fair all the time, you just had to visit the shop.

I was there until 1962 Whetstone Lane in WestminsterHouse blue stripe on tie When I left school I played football for the Old Instonians in the Old Boys League in Liverpool mainly Coronation Park home pitches and Club above BSM in Argyle Street Anybody there when my friend (no names) broke into the basement turned on the bunsen burner gas taps in lab and started a fire He was caught when the police went round checking shoes against a footprint they found on a piece of cardboard under the window that he got in
Mr Thompson for French Mr 'Danny' Webb Headmaster Mr 'Lenny' Malcolm Physics
You can still get an Old Boys tie now altho not the one I originally allblack with several gold knights heads on

There used to be a smugglers path that connected Bidston too Wallasey but there is no way these tunnels go too mother redcaps im afraid.
It all makes perfect sense expressed in dollars and cents ,pound shillings and pence

That was a differant set of tunnels that is rumoured to connect to Mother Redcaps. As a child I went on a tour of part of them, they start in a garden of one of the big houses oeverlooking the front in New Brighton but they had collapsed further into the hill so it's not clear whether they actually reached the cottage.
