Cruel!! I ended up having plain pasta with a little butter, pepper, fresh parmesan and some quartered cherry tomatoes as I couldn't face Asda.

I'm making lasagne tonight - not a packet in sight either!! All fresh ingredients, no additives etc (apart from possibly some in the cheese smile ).

For dinner this evening I shall mainly be having Lemon Sole with boiled potatoes (no butter etc on them), green salad and a 5 bean salad with a homemade balsamic vinegarette laugh

I made Delia's spaghetti alla carbonara and it was delish. It struck me though that the Italians are famous for their healthy diet, what went wrong with this dish then? It's made with fried pancetta (crispy bacon), eggs, cream and loads of parmesan cheese-totally yummy, but totally artery clogging to boot.
