"The former Travellers Rest Public House, New Ferry Road, New Ferry, a mid 19th century public house and terrace. (1)
The buildings are first recorded as nine houses on the Tithe map of 1844 as No. 22 owned by Richard Pearson and occupied by Francis Hitchin, Elizabeth Jackson, William Morris, John Newton, William Nicholls, Robert Snape, William Steward and one vacant. (2-3)
The terrace to the northeast was demolished in the 1970s or early 1980s, bar one house, and all of the remaining buildings were heavily modified and converted to housing in 2005."
