I think that used to be the symbol on the buses before everything was privatised. We only had either Merseyside travel(?) or Crossville buses and that was on the Mersey travel buses. If I have that name wrong I`m sure someone could tell you the proper name.
Last Ones. If Anyone wants to see any of the other buses at the fair just ask as i've got pic's of each one of them. Might just throw a vid up later with all pics in it.
Looking at the pics am pissed off i didnt go now. Not so much for the veichles themselves-more the displays+ the soldier in the gas mask. Looks like an interesting savvy out! Will go to the next one, i hope

The round symbol belonged to the M.P.T.E. (Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive). A badly drawn picture of tangled barbed wire ! When M.P.T.E. took over, it spelled the end of the individual liveries of Wallasey and Birkenhead. Over time, all the buses were painted bile green and vomit cream.
The 1924 punch thingy (tram ticket) is a Williamson Punch. Used by Birkenhead Corp. until the early 1950's when the Setright machines arrived. Wallasey and Crosville used Bell Punches.
