Boots in Liverpool Clayton Square have christmas jobs going. Couple of different shifts available - BOOTS51807.

Two jobs advertised on Jobcentre website for Peacocks in New Brighton. Peacocks website has the application forms:

Part time Sales Colleague: We are currently recruiting for Sales Colleagues (8 & 4 hours) for our new kids wear concession store opening within the new Morrisons in New Brighton, Wirral.

Don't you have to sit a 70-odd online personality questionnaire for this vacancy?

Nope, normally you do but the christmas ones they don't even ask for job history or anything, just available hours

Oh sorry, just got an email saying i've passed the first stage of the boots interview so now have to do the assessment, the 70 odd questions thing, so yeah you do have to do it!

Sorry, posting again, can't edit the above post now. Anyway I did the assessment thing and they've changed it, it's not a 70 question agree/disagree thing, it's like situations and what your most and least preferred options are, then 24 questions on which of two statements is most like you. It says it'll take 35 minutes but it took me about fifteen at the most

Oh no, why can't they scrap these ridiculous tests? I hate them!

they set these tests to give prospective employers an insight as to whether a candidate would/will be suitable for a vacancy that might arise. If you want/need a job then just do the test if you don't do it then you will/could be waiting for a long time

Cos it's easier than asking the same questons at an interview?

JobNeeded why are you complaining about it? If you're that desperate for a job you should just be doing it, i'm not desperate cos i'm a student but I still sat through it all. Maybe if you put as much effort into applying for jobs as you do into whinging on here you'd be fine!

When I tried to complete the Boots online assessment, I found that no new questionnaire displayed, just one I completed a few years ago, when I applied for temp Xmas work. But this was marked as already completed.

Has anybody else encountered this problem.

Yeah cos they email you with the questionaire after you've passed the first stage of the application. You don't just apply then do the test anymore.

I notice a lot of these retail employers now are suing these lengthy online questionnaires to sift out candidates.
