Nice pictures,we went to the Rhug/Corwen steam rally the other week,I prefer the stationary engines but still love the big steam one's,well anything with an engine,steam or otherwise I enjoy,even the scenery was superb.
It would be nice if there was once again some good Steam rallys in our area, there used to be. One reason may be that in the main the rallys are run by traction engine owners, and it's a sad fact that in our area now a days there are almost no engine owners at all !. In the wirral, Chester and Liverpool area as far as i know there are only three traction engine owners,(apart from Liverpool museum) and two of them keep their engines in Shropshire, and these engines are out of action as they are getting new boiler's !. In days gone by there where loads of engines in the area !.
