The RB26 is a lovely thing. I worked for Abbey Motorsport for six years so saw my fair share, the heat is a major problem for the S13 as you say, more due to the lack of vents in the front A much nice (though tougher to find) choice for the drift gang is the VH45DE, which is a 4.5 liter V8 from the Nissan Cima, it "does" fit in the S13, but its quite a rare engine, but being an N/A V8 it has loads of snort and no lag For what its worth if you need any Nissan advise (I have fault codes and all manner of Nissan stuff) then give me a PM. Good luck with the sideways action!

MrPhil : When did this occur? As I left Abbey in Feb 2008, on pretty poor terms, due to a number of issues with management. I was involved purely in engine management systems, heavy electronics (multi-stage NOS control etc), and mapping.
I had joined Abbey (having previously learned everything at Abbott Racing, specialist SAAB tuners in Essex) during the glory-days, so to speak. That was a time when they had a number of very high profile GTR customers (Rocket Ronnie, 3x TOTB winner + many people that "Wanted a car the same as ronnies!") with a lot of money to spend, the place was booming at the time and growing very quickly indeed, it was the first tuning house in the UK to have a hub-mounted Dyno, and as a tuner - I wanted to use the best kit, I also had an R32 of my own at that time, loved it to bits and wanted to be involved with them on a daily basis. However, this boom growth didn't last. Most of the problems for Abbey centre around people in the GTR scene not understanding the basic premise that the light that burns twice as bright, lasts half as long - the RB is not (despite what people think) a magic engine. If you want one of those you need a Toyota 2JZ-GTE! However, many decisions were made for customer cars (by management) that I did not agree with, and hence why I was unhappy there in my latter days, I became part of those (IMHO) poor decisions simply because I worked there - and I didn't want to be associated with some of the things that were going on.
However, in Abbey's defense, in around early 2007 they became the victim of a very unpleasant slur campain for a number of years, spearheaded by a very disgruntled and unpleasant (and known for this kind of behavior) customer, from which I don't believe they have ever really recovered. In order for my good name to not be tied with that brush, I chose to disappear while the ship was still afloat. A few events tipped the balance for me, but I had been looking to leave for maybe 5-8 months, so the straw that broke the camels back was actually quite welcome. Sadly that customer had become a friend of mine over the period we tuned his cars, but upon his fury with management, I became a target, and as a result - slurred by him also. The very definition of fair-weather friendship.
In order to act as testiment to my own quality and workmanship, immediately after I left Abbey I went to another tuner that invested in a brand new Dynapack ($72,000 at that time + test cell) on the basis of my experience and skills, so I like to think that I left Abbey still with my reputation intact.
The whole Abbey experience poisoned the GTR for me, its strange to see how people become about those cars (helped also by a very firey forum), its like a megalomania that people suffer with them. Its a nasty scene, and I was glad to be free of it. Moving to the Lotus market was a nice break!
Feel free to PM me if you'd like to enquire more, I prefer not to loose my professionalism by discussing too much in an open forum.

How have you got your rear fog light wired up Tony?
I used a diode and used the inner brake lights on the Koukis so I didnt have to fit one of those ugly under bumper things!
