That's what I was told when I bought the pic'. If you take a closer look you cah see that it does say New St on the corner of the road.

wasn't that Mr Rose's shop a tall old guy who wore a trilby and had a bit of a limp. He used to have his money pinned up in his inside pocket..cos a lowlife robbed him once...don't think he had a car I used to see him walking everywhere

I only remember it as Jim's but ,you have jogged my memory that he wore a hat. I lived in Peter St,the next road up.
