A bit of a smiley comment, even though I'm typing it through tears. I've been told by a friend that after them having finished a 20+ hour shift, in full riot gear, coming under attack, some of them covered in cuts & bruises, a couple of members of the public came up to them all with McDonalds breakfasts and coffees/teas to say thank you! 
Sometimes Police Officers give more than just speeding tickets!
It�s hard to be fit as a fiddle when you�re shaped like a cello!
