As title says, not fussy as long as it works and holds ddr3. Preferably 8gb or more.

Thanks mate, you can get a new gigabyte board for about 32 quid on scan but this is for a very crap machine that runs in my garage, I just want to increase the ram in it as I want to pop sbs 2011 on it:)

Yeah I think that needs around 8GB of ram. Dear option but if you have 2 slots maybe use 2 x 4gb sticks..... good luck with it anyways
