93 Ranelagh Family and Commercial Hotel 88 Chester Street 88 2 Market St
1950's photo looking down Chester Street towards Woodside. On the far left is the Ranelagh Hotel, on the corner of Market Street. The site now houses an advertising hoarding, but some of the houses beyond still exsist.
On the far right is just a glimpse of the Clarendon Hotel, with its 'Yates Ales' sign. The road to the right is Pilgrim Street, which is now blocked off and the land has not been built on.
The printers were in Westminster Buildings. Adjacent to them, towards Woodside, were the Craven Rooms. In the distance, just left and down from the Tunnel Vent, is a large groupe of chimney pots that probably next to the Queens Arms Hotel / Worsley Arms / River View on the corner of Bridge Street.
