Over the past 2 years, I have continually seen people park their car in front on the drive preventing me from getting my car out mainly during when i need to go work. In the last 6 months, I had brought 2 'Please do not park in front of driveway' and have been vandalised/stolen. And today, when I was about to go to the hospital for my daughters appointment, some idiot left their car and did not return for 20 minutes which made me miss the appointment. What can i do as i am fed up of this especially with fact that the signs were ignored and broken into 2 pieces Any help will be appreciated.

It's not illegal to block access to your driveway, the police will only intervene if it is blocking access ONTO the highway.
I know its the case here but worth taking into account before phoning police.

As I understand things it is not illegal to park across a driveway but it is illegal to prevent somebody getting out of their drive. So if people park over your drive while your car is parked inside your property then you ought to be able to get them removed. Highway Code Rule 243: DO NOT stop or park
•near a school entrance •anywhere you would prevent access for Emergency Services •at or near a bus or tram stop or taxi rank •on the approach to a level crossing or tramway crossing •opposite or within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction, except in an authorised parking space •near the brow of a hill or hump bridge •opposite a traffic island or (if this would cause an obstruction) another parked vehicle •where you would force other traffic to enter a tram lane •where the kerb has been lowered to help wheelchair users and powered mobility vehicles •in front of an entrance to a property •on a bend •where you would obstruct cyclists’ use of cycle facilities except when forced to do so by stationary traffic.
