Can you not get them on prescription? I also haven't tried them because of the side effects. But then again if you read any medicine possible side effects you wouldn't take anything. My mate gave up 12 months ago with them fine, but his wife had some bad side effects so I think it's a case of giving them a go and finding out if you're ok with them

I found these to be great, quit smoking half way through the course no side affects for me, but like a dick started smoking again 2 years later.

They are brilliant in my opinion. Changed the taste of food and drink and I had a couple of bad dreams but all in all, worth it.

These work for me. I started them on 17th october and i had my last cigarette 1st november, so have been smoke free for 10 days. I know it's early days but fingers crossed.
To get Champix you have to go to a stop smoking clinic, they ask you all sorts of questions and then give you a letter , which you have to give to your doctor. The doc will then prescribe you 2 weeks worth(you can only get 2 weeks worth at a time),if you prove you have stopped.

i also pay for my prescriptions, but because the doc only gives you 2 weeks worth at a time ,you only pay £7.65 every 2 weeks.
The cost of a packet of cigs!

These are worth the money. They actually work. Alas, the side affects got bad for me personally any the doctor said I needed to stop the treatment.

I got mine from the nurse at my doctors practice. Didn't need to see a doctor at all. Got 4 weeks the first time then 2 weeks thereafter.

I took them nearly 4 years ago and had no problems but they do have any side effects and I know folks have have taken them and suffered badly. Anyone who gives your their tablets to you wants shooting IMHO. They are seriously heavy duty tablets and are on prescription for a very good reason.
