http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-21291100Once again, this Mersey travel organisation (whoever they are) are intent on cutting Wirral off from the rest of the region. Wirral may as well affiliate itself with Wales. I have yet to find any responses from any Wirral Councillors or MP's to this latest kick in the groin to Wirral. Seems like it's a "we are doing it whether you like it or not" done deal yet again.

I'd be happy with that. Welsh local news is always more interesting without than Manc-centric bias.

it may well be "only" 10p, but for some who have to use the tunnels on a daily basis, those 10ps all add up!

Those Land Rover Disco's arent cheap you know. You dont expect them to use Kia's or something do you?? A top of the range off roader is just too much of a necessity in a tunnel to skimp!

If all our costs went up by this % (app 6%) we would really be in trouble. Then again percentages can say what you want them to say.In this case it says wwwoahh, far too much and unfair on folk who must go across the river for whatever reason. On an historical note should it only be the monks of Birkenhead and/or their successors who decide this toll?

oh well the unproftiable buses and the very unprofitable and expensive to run showpiece ferry service needs to be propped up by someone.

Towed a small caravan with a Lada for years. However, perhaps a Skoda Yeti would be more practical nowadays.

There are plenty of vehicles half that price that would do the job. Even Land Rovers own Defender, IMO, is a better workhorse towing option, and a heck of a lot cheaper.
