In the late 60s the managers of the George and Dragon were husband and wife. He was often drunk and they would have rows. Eventually one night after closing she stabbed him to death. She received a few years for manslaughterI can't recall their names unfortunately.
I can, well his at least. I think it was 1969 0r 1970. She stabbed him in the bedroom upstairs. His name was George. People were saying that is was the first time George was killed by the Dragon.

Since its reopened its not a bad night out to be fair. A young couple have ventured into the world of business and are doing a good job of it. I pop down once a week. Looking at the picture above, I remember going to Decades a few times, the less I say about that place the better i think!!!
This place has been fully refurbished and reopens this Friday under new owners and management as a free house.
