This becoming a bit of an obsession with me. Knowing next to nothing about working with imaging progs etc I need some advice. I'm hoping to get more maps and do them as the pics here. My pcs keep throwing up message "not enough memory" when working on them in Paint, Adobe Photoshop CS5/6 and Serif Photoplus X6
1 original Red drinks map tiff - 182 mbs
Red drinks map as B&W tiff - 56.6 mbs
2 Red drinks map as B&W gif - 12 mbs
3 what I want to do on 2 or better still do name of pub instead of a number
4 1950s map stitched to gether- 162 mbs
5 hope to be able to colour in and name pubs and churches + possibly schools
My computers info If no worthwhile upgrades may treat myself to this (will this do the job)but am open to suggestions for better one that will do what I want within that price range Maybe a new build click
You seem to have a better spec PC than mine and mine copes ok with graphics in Paint shop Pro X3. Are you working on the images in their original file name? I would try duplicating the images and change the duplicates to jpeg and see what happens then.
