I think it was a last minute thing but I saw an event for celebrating Christmas with fireworks, Santa, Ice Queen in Liscard tonight - does anyone know when the event ends? It says starts at 6, fireworks at 7.
The most ridiculous thing I've heard all year, liscards long gone, like a rover 75 with a head gasket problem, there's no saving it now so scrap it and start again.
Let's see what happens there at Christmas, I've not much faith in there being much. There's nothing going for liscard anymore, the place is a complete joke, now that WH Smiths has gone that's it.
How do you tell a child there is only one real Christmas. Why no presents and why there tree is not up at home.
It has to be a "Get people into Liscard" drive. But once you drive them there, there is disappointment. Just like other shopping area's. Land of the closed signs and shutters down.
Personally if the kids enjoy it great. But the idea of Christmas in April on a professional level is hilarious.
No one wants to see a town centre die, and hats off to those investors prepared to try things but the council got it wrong, not the people.
