well, thats the next step.
I did replace the rotor arm for a new one, so I'll put the old one back on and use a different coil.

Just come back from the garage - been there 5 hours Massive thanks to Chris who came down to help me at such short notice. I think he might have found the problem. The HT leads may be the wrong way round Finished putting it all back together after taking the half the engine apart to get the cambelt off to see if it was timing. It need a jump to start cas the battery is dead, so anyone up for meeting me at my garage tomorrow to see if my car start for the first time in a year? lol

Well, it started first time. Thank fu*k for that! Now I can start buying bits for it. Only problems with it is a coolant leak, on the thermostat housing and the exhaust is blowing in the middle. Will post a video up later

yeah deffo never make that mistake again. still got a dodgy idle as you can hear, so think i'll have to replace the idle control valve. Also, still got a slight knocking, so its either the lifters are drained of oil after sitting there so long or its a knocking from the bottom end. Its nowhere near as loud as it was, so im thinking it could just be the lifters. cant really see much cas its dark, but at least you can hear it

Joe save yourself a load of money and just get lowered springs and shocks...coilovers are great for the track etc but too severe for everyday use.A decent lowering kit will give you the look you need mate
