truth is scoop. its a 1.6. if u want a more powerfull output than 90bhp get a bigget engine. 4get all ur fanyin around m8y. i dont think u wud b impressd with the results.
and the truth is even if u did get power gains it will stil b a 1.6 escort just a whole lot more un reliable.

If you stick 2.0 MAF and TB it will send the ECU to **** - and even if it doesnt it wont know how to handle the different weight loads. Scoop as said many times over you can get that power gain by sticking a 2.0 in it, a 2.0 with a Unichip and uprated leads and iridium plugs will produce roughly 160BHP (This varies engine to engine)
Say you spent 1k doing this, its 160BHP. Or u can plough alot more into the 1.6 - Put it this way Kent cams cost about £500 no matter what zetec it is, and Unichips are £475 so theres ya grand already

Getting the bold out now to say
The 1.6 will be ok with the new TB and MAF as they dont look any bigger TBH,if they are its only slightly. And if the ECU does get confused ill fit the 1800 ECU as that likes higher quantities of air/fuel
U can stick ur 2.0 up ya fappin battyhoop
Look at ALL the money ive spent? 30 quid on the TB and MAF that will also fit my 1.8
Induction kit im buying fits BOTH engines so when i can insure the 1.8 the transplant will be made Same with the zorst Same with an FSE
The 1.8 ECU will be unichipped to the 1.8 engine and cams possibly added
Also the mondie 2.0 has to be runnin the 1.8JEST ECU to be unichipped mr 1.6 managed 2.0
Dont talk to me about ECU problems
Rant over

I have a 1.8 in my possesion thats why im sticking that in. It costs nothing to do as its not a hard job with the right knowledge. 2.0 insurance would be too much 1.8 insurance will be peachy 1.8 is EASILY "tuned" to give 140 using 130 spec cams/TB/MAF from XR3/2.0 engines with a live mapped chip (£420) and full zorst,FSE and BMC
That is why IM doing thi to my car. Thanks for your opinions but it is just NOT feasable to go for a 2.0. With a 2.0 i would lose my liscence in a week as those things can fly with a fettling. Which i know i would do

I think i probably speak for most people when i say: To see is to believe. So when you do do all this stuff, you can prove people wrong. Or if you dont...you wont simple

Gonna spray my interior next weekend hopefully. What is a good shade of blue. Thinkin about imperial blue from the cossie,or this "electric blue" that ive seen a few modded motors wearing. Good thing is I can spray the bits from the 1.8Si and then smack them into MY car.So my car doesnt need to be without a dash for 2 days. Yay
