'Morning folks,can anyone recommend a good local place to buy a new car battery? I don't really want to go to Halfords if I can avoid it.The internet isn't an option as I need one today Thanks.

Try http://www.eurocarparts.com/Its only on argyle street make an account online, add the battery you want, use battery15 for 15% discount, leave it in your basket and close your browser, do not sign out, you will get an email tomorrow from them, offering you a further discount.

Thanks Salmon and Willow.I've just got back from Euro car parts with a Bosch S3 004 battery for £45,very happy with the price,and I did use the promo. code but couldn't wait for tomorrow Willow.Very helpful staff too.Definitely use them again.
