Moreton History - 1st Apr 2024 12:03pm
I am in the process of writing the history of my father's early life and his time spent in the RAF in WW2. He joined the RAF in 1939 at the age of 17, before that he worked at a printers in London.
I have an envelope from a letter posted to him in London from Moreton in April 1936, when he would have been 14 years old. Unfortunately I don't have the letter itself, but the back of the envelope is stamped:
"Robinson Bros. Barnston Lane Moreton Wirral"
I have had no luck in finding out what Robinson Bros did or exactly where they were, so hoping someone on the forum might be able to help me discover why my father wrote to them in 1936.
Thanks in anticipation
