Yes. The current bridge also used to have trains crossing it.
I used to ride my bike across at the same time and it was a
bit scary. (1950's)

It's well worth looking at that site Pablo. There's quite a few old photo's on there you might like, although some of them are one's you've already posted (...just spotted the Vale Park one of 1948).

Hi Pablo,do any of your old photos show a policeman wearing big white gloves standing on a platform of some description controlling the traffic on Duke street/Corporation road where the roundabout is now? I'm not sure whether I remember it or just think I do.
