Totally ridiculous ! I have the red book and blue paper back, but I never saw a hardback for sale. Not only that, they were printed years before, so I can't even think that it would be classed as 'first edition'. I think someone is having a laugh. It's on ebay too, cheaper. Someone from Wirral and they want £9.50 postage ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stephen-Harding-Ingimunds-saga-Norwegian-Wirral-isbn-1-9011231-60-7-/281965014084?hash=item41a66cac44:g:KwgAAOSwoBtW5bJQ

Its common on Amazon to find that offers of the second hand versions of all sorts of books are often ridiculous prices . This book is £20 ish new, but look at the second hand prices , one is £999 .Theres too many to be typos, I reckon perhaps theyre just chancers hoping someone will misread it or even think it must be something special and buy it. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-li...ition=used&qid=1457978813&sr=1-1

On ebay, its quite common practice for sellers to put the price very high when they are out of stock so that they retain the advert for when they get stock in again.

Yep, its just a holding price to deter buyers but keep the sellers listing active.

I managed to pick up a red hardback copy in Linghams Heswall shop a couple of years ago for £9.99 , so some copies may still be around .
