there are hundreds in that area but the majority of them are owned/run by private angling clubs

Abit futher away in Irby theres a pond called the tench pit, decent little pond and its free.

Claremount Farm has a good head of Fish and it's well maintained. Drive down Old Clatterbgridge Road as far as you can go and park in the spaces provided, you can see the lake from the car park. The Bailiff will come along and relieve you of your hard earned cash while you fish. In the Neston area there's a day ticket fishery in Denhall Lane, a bit pricey but it has lots of fish in it.

You might consider a club like port sunlight angling club.A well established well run club with a host of waters around the area you mentioned.visit their website
