My MacBook Pro won't charge I'm pretty sure it's the mag safe cable that's not charging it, does anyone have a magsafe 2 85w charger where I could literally pop round to you an plug in my laptop to see if it lights up an charges? I don't want to go an spent £80 on a new one if that's not the problem.

2011 macbook pro
do these come on without a battery installed when the mains lead is in?
(battery exploded while laptop not in use)
