I walked the footpath from Storeton to Thingwall this morning.
After crossing the M53 via the footbridge, I noticed that police were searching the next two fields with dogs.
It's not the first time I've seen them there either. Anyone know what's going on ?

Not heard anything verbally, but there was a helicopter flying over Thingwall /Barnston a couple of nights ago. Also on two other occasions in the last week. One night they were going back and forth, back and forth. Quite often they are tracking someone on the motorway, so thought nothing of it, except thinking about it now, the other night it was concentrated more over the fields of Thingwall towards the M53.in the direction you mention. Always at night... don;t know why, but maybe thermal imaging is better at night.
