Hi. Is there any info on when the construction started and end of the concrete costal defence/path from Meols to New Brighton. Walked it many times and have seen inscriptions on the concrete referencing 1978 as a year? It would be fascinating to see any photos, stories of the build. How was it achieved? Thanks!

I saw this photo of the old wall from Meols, recently. It was re done from some time in the 70s to the late 80s, at least. I remember seeing the diggers along there, as a child. Later years, when I could roam with my freinds, we climed the mountain of rocks, piled up, that was later to become the sea defences in leasowe bay.
