Do people think they make 1.6 turbo engines go like a 3 litre nowadays?, Does The turbo still kicks in at 2000 revs even if you only want to drive your granny to the supermarket. Suppose it depends on what car?
I hear that the Audi 1.8T returns about 18mpg. Is this true?
Any suggestions on the Honda Civic Type R - apart from ugly
Does anyone know what car looks like a streetKa, but puts Porche 911's to shame?
Is the Cooper S a Supercharged engine? & is it as expensive to run as a turbo?
What are your views on MX-5's? I hear there are plenty of mods and upgrades available for these as well?
Is the Mitsubishi FTO only available on import?
Just a few thoughts, your views are valuable!

i like the civic but you can ge tthe sport which has the same trim and none of the insurance expence. mx-5 not worth it unless getting a new one. dont know any small car that will but a porker to shame. and i think the cooper s is a supecharger. not much faster than a saxo i've heard. i like the clio cup 2.0. nice car great base to start modding on.

well my mates M5 is a 3.8 and 360bhp and does 19mpg so i doubt the Audi will do less, saying that the new rx-8 only does 18 to the gallon!! you can get uk FTO's but most will be imports! Civic Type R - Fun to drive but yes a mad shape and who's idea was it to put the gear nob on the dash!! im not in to that!! MX-5 - is a poor mans RX-& so a no to that in my opinion of course! Cooper S is definately a supercharger as I had one and didn't see mant saxo VTS havin a go so they are quite a bit faster when it kicks in, and expensive for the speed you get. maybe a Streetcar with a 3.0 litre engine would do it or maybe a Lotus Elise with some mods!! O yeh and try and find a manual FTO its tricky, all the ones ive found are Auto's! Hope I was of use!!

mx5s can be an awsome car and could put a porsche to shame on performance and looks with the right mods.

oh i forgot, the new clio isn't turbo'd (that i know of) but its still a pretty sweet car, maybe room in the engine bay for it to be turbo'd? or could that be to much power for a FWD car?

FTO is import only. I think Ralliart brought a few over, official imports, but still imports I think. Best one to go for is the GPX Mivec. Engine is a 2000cc V6 with variable valve timeing. 198bhp. 0-60 6.8seconds. Top end, over 150mph. They're cheapish to run and front wheel drive. The handling is excellent. If you want to paw over one let us know Oh yeah manual ones are tricky to find, you can convert an auto to a manual if you really want However the auto version is tiptronic, and the tiptronic in the FTO is supposed to be excellent,- no idea on that though only ever drove manuals

goin by the book the vts is 0.3 slower to 60! tourbo'd cars are expensive, unreliable and to get a good 1 in what u want isn't gona be that easy to find. u sound like ur goin 4 a round group 15 insurance??? civic vti??? clio williams both are around 7 to 60 and are nice cars!!!

Non-factory turbo cars *may* be unreliable, it's a rather sweeping statement that they all are Problem with turbo cars is they take time to spool the turbo up, I can get a car length on a rolling start with an impreza with the FTO, however when the turbo is spooled it's "bye bye fto!", untill we get to 90-odd anyways

Reanult 5 GT Turbo, old turbo car, no unreliablity there! (Unless it's been owned by a scal who's turned the boost right up without uprating anything!) I'd really love a 5 Turbo, classic boy-racer machine!
