Having serious boost problems which is intermittant. It happen last night when I took Gary out too. Only getting 0.33BAr (5PSI)! I like there's no turbo there. I know it's not the turbo as it happened a few days earlier then it came back again. I think it's either the boost controller, vacuum leak or one of the wastegate actuators sticking or onit's way out. Anyone any experience of this?

Think I've found the problem. I took it down to my Lotus specialist but he couldn't look at it until tommorrow or early next week when they be fitting my disc and bell upgrade. So I had a fiddle with the boost and vacuum hoses outside their place. Drove it away and the boost has come back. Will need to fit tie clips on all the hoses I think. Once I have it up and running again, will take you out again Gary!!!!

Get some of them little metal clips which you need to use pliars with to get them on and off, they seem to do a good job of holding vacume hosing on Might be worth changing the vacume hosing for some new stuff too? you can get 3 metres of Samco stuff from Demon Tweeks for about a tenner, seems to hold quiet well, i havn't got clips on a few of my hoses because they're such a snug fit

A leak on the hoses for the boost controller will make the boost go higher as its not bleeding as much off and holding the actuators open. Could be weak actuator springs once the boost controller has reached is max bleed off

I think rather than a leaking boost hose it's a leak on the boost controller gauge side which i have connected on another line. If it's leaking then it's not reading the right boost right? Well it was this line I was messing with and it seemed to work. My garage has a spare actuator in stock for £50. Better than Lotus charge for £200!! Rip off prices. It's had one new actuator on it's last service, so next point was to look at the other one anyway. Will see what happen over next few days.

Use jubilee/worm drive clips ... ![[Linked Image]](http://www.flexonics.com.au/__data/page/11822/22.gif) they hold so much better, and you can take them off easily.
