Not been here that long so im not sure if its been fully discussed before now?
Whats your views on this one?
Very controversial subject, i for one think it needs overhauling in a big way as it could get well out of hand.
Fair enough with good reason & a trade to offer but lots see this country as a free ride & meal ticket?

With in excess of 10% of British citizens living in Spain alone I dont think we have much room to talk. Amazingly, it is actually possible to reside in another country and still claim UK state benefits!!

With all due respect matty fella, do you really think it is a similar situation with british citizens emigrating & immigrants flooding into this country?
I would of thought the reasons for migration from britain would be mainly starting businesses & retiring, different to what we are seein from ommigrants coming to here?
Lets face it who`s going to retire to britain lol.

A subject im passionate about yet know little facts about.

Im sick of all the freeloaders coming here to take the goverment for a ride,but theyre ARE SOME who have genuine reasons to come here and can offer vital services etc... The goverment do need to change their policy,but to what?

I think immagrants SHOULD NOT be allowed benefits. Maybe after theyve been paying national insurance for several years give them benefits if theyre out of a job etc (same type of benefits that brits get) but dont give them benefits the day they arrive,its their decision to come here with no money and no job.so we shouldnt have to feed and cloth them

Its simple really scoop, if someone has a trade to offer such as , doctors, dentists, surgeons which we are short of fair enough, good for economy, also in extreme cases, ie, poor kids who have lost family & have no one to support them in war torn country`s be that iraq or anywhere, or genuine cases of threat to life

so genuine assylum seekers then,and people with skills we need. Apparently the UK are only letting in x amount of doctors from bulgaria/poland etc. But there is NO restriction on the amount of unskilled people that we're letting in,and most of them are choosing to be fruit/veg pickers in farms in scotland,a lot of which are coming to dundee (my nearest major city,just 8 miles away,where i lived until sept)

EVO`s getting a new server installed it seems, spoke to stu earlier.
As for the above, exactly, too many unskilled leechers (not all).
So for the minimum ammount of skilled doctors etc, it seems the ammount of freeloaders outweigh the skilled hence also putting more stress on the nhs where if it were the other way around it could lighten the load.

this country really is going down the pan,which gives me an idea for a new thread. Be right back!

It already is. I shall not discuss this more as I will only cause controversy or possibily be classed as a 'racist' although most people dont fully understand the term so I deem them hypocrits - Basicly am saving an argument

You oppinion is exactly that & you are entitled to air it (within obvious reason of course)
racism goes much further than black/white & many people feel strongly about it, i hope that doesnt prevent what could be an interesting thread as we are all entitled to our own views.

Thats kinda the point dazza. I've had it up to here with PC. There are plenty of forums out there that allow this sort of talk, beginning to wonder why this one doesnt, its what CW needs. To break free of the PC ball and chain (within reason)

I see this type of topic crop up from time to time in many places, as long as it doesnt get out of hand & is discussed civil it can get very interesting without slating other peoples views, for instance if you dont agree with a persons view simply state your reason & alternative view.
Scoop obviously feels strongly about it & has his own view on the cause/solution, i see his point up to a limit but its plainly flawed with simple "kick the fckers out" type of thing?
