I'd say have an explore see if we can find the exits on the outside - the shaft and the one on brow road?
Other than that, I can't see much more happening with them for now, unless we find more information, such as the possibility that the other underground tunnels are linked to it (perhaps through the part which looks undeveloped blocked up with sand?)
There isnt a Brow Road Exit its in the RODS. I think that was us getting mixed up until the size of the tunnels was mapped.
I will try and dig out the picture where the Shaft Exit is, yes where Whelan found the spiders nest.
One way could be would be to let off a smoke bomb at the top of the ladder or something like that. And smoke or odour could seep through.
O even them walkie talkies that's if they go through rock.
--------- I have been told that the tunnels link up. Ive been told that there are tunnels under the observatory, and awaiting for a book to be shown to me as its no longer in print. Apparently this book covers all the tunnels around the Wirral area I'm lead to believe.
But that book and info may take some time to come back to me as in months or weeks who knows? But they do say there linked etc... But all hear say at the moment.
1. The Trunk of the Tree is far too short. 2. Its pretty much a Rubble Hill. 3. Its out of sorts with the natural flow of the landscape. 4. Red Brick and Cement are present.
Its either this one or the other place. I'm going to go for this one.
the only way I can think of finding the shaft exit without spending a fortune on equipment is using bluetooth. If it can go through concrete? Especially that thick?
But if theres a chance its thin enough, if someone has bluetooth on at the top of the ladder and someone on the hill tries to detect it, that might work?

Sorry for the wait guys, been a bit busy with building pc`s, taking kids out and going to wedding and party, i`m knackered, fell asleep twice today, lol. Not many decient pics i`m afraid but heres some anyway....
Been out and about with the GPS I cant get google to make sense of the readings. So if any one can pin them on a Google or Virtual Earth Map it will be very helpful for the cause.
As in we can overlay joes map and have it all boxed off

your gps is in the wrong position for the exit as the maps dont overlay correctly..see pic
my maps is sort of to scale, the leg of the main entrance should actually be a bit shorter though.
Ive measured the distance using google maps and using our measurements it should be 167.7m (or 550ft) from the shaft exit.
That puts it closer to the houses/bus stop but you dont have a pic of the GPS positions?
I just typed the gps positions in google maps +53.40469, -3.07311 e.t.c
