You know those Camping satilite Packages you can buy from Aldi when they have the offer on or Maplins are they any good ? Has anyone used one of these cause i wouldnt mind buying one to play with ??

i was very tempted to buy one from maplin a while back. only to see what mad foreign channels i could get.

yer thats the only reason i want to buy one see what i can pick up cause theres quite alot of shite you can i.e. Hotbird has some intresting channels.. check out this site to see what you can recieve with em cause this is why i want one just to play cause i dont have to attach to the wall just sit in a window

They are fine fella, it just depends on the size of the dish. You will get Sky anywhere in the UK even with a 40cm dish, as the footprint on Astra 2D is gigantic (it even runs down to about middle Spain, and as far as Cyprus and Southern Spain with a 2m dish). Its not like terrestrial, so long as you are within the footprint and the dish is big enough, you should be okay. I think to get 100% coverage in the UK of Sky, you need a 60cm dish minimum. As for any other services though, im afraid I dunno anymore, I lost interest a couple of years back. Dont forget, if you want Freesat FS, you can easily buy a cheap ass Sky box on eBay as well as the OEM box from Aldi.
