Right as some of you may know i am getting married nextyear in Cyprus.

As i will be getting married in a Chapel there law states that i must provide a Baptism cert.

I dont have alot of contact with my mother and my Father pastaway years ago

Anways i have been told i have been christened but i cannot find any record of this.

The church that i am ment to have had this done is/was on Westbourne road Birkenhead this no longer stands but i cant find what the name of the church was called if i can find the name i can find out if i really was christened.

Otherwise its off to church for me.

Tried hamilton square and they carnt find that type of thing.

And as for getting my head wet went to church the other sunday and i need to go every sunday untill well god knows when.

i think the name of the church you after mate is st winifred's mate i lived about 2 houses up from it

Is this the church at the bottom of westbourne if so its not the one matey.

Think the one i am after was across from the westbourne pub or maybe beside it not 100%sure

The best thing you can do is visit a church nearby it and ask some one who works there,
they might have contacts or something similar.

you neva know churches might be connected with each other.

dont know of any westbourne road in Birkenhead?

Thats the church just need to find out how to get the records as the church looks very run down.

Id say contact the town hall, what religion is it?

There has to be a "Central" Records office.
You might try calling into another church and just asking.

Were doing what we can to keep you out of church on a sunday lol

The diocese office and possibly local cathedral will store records, but as to which one ye go to will depend upon the religion.

i would go to town hall as been said if you tell them why you need it they will halp you out mate that church has always looked run down as i said i lived in number 60

Chester diocese office is the place i needed to contact.

Straingly enough one of the numbers on the board outside the church had the right number to phone and it worked
