yeh, love calibras, underated i think.... bmwjoe...You will hardly notice a difference with them bulbs if its not a HID kit. i was looking into these today and was told aftermarket hid conversion kits unless used with automatic levelling and headlight washing systems cannot be approved/used on roads as they do not meet ECE regulations...

Im used to proper xenons on the works cars..and the phillips bulbs are just as good on the audi if not better! well worth spending your money on them rather than a very expensive HID kit!

To be honest didn't expect them to be like a HID kit, bulbs are bulbs, calibra headlights are crap anyway.

HIDs are the way forward Ive used 100W bulbs in the past, and they do offer an improvement over the std 55W jobbies. However, Ive found the 100W ones (despite being nearly 100% more powerful) to only give 10-20% more light, hids are much closer to 100% more light than a std bulb

Yeah, and they also glare other drivers. Think they should be illegal meself. Anyone who cant see using standard bulbs, and needs HID kits and the like, really shouldnt be driving...

Not all HID kits bleed light. It depends on the bulb, lense, and probably most importantly, the installer... Any bulb fitted incorrectly will dazzle other drivers. Theres a big difference between badly aimed lights, and lights that are bright - you can never have too much light in the dark, and adjusted to the correct angle, they wont effect oncoming cars

Maybe on the very first kits, the lastest kits are now "E" Marked, so as long as the beam pattern is fine....

yup but its pointless modding a car unless its safe and legal...or the boys (or girls) in blue will just charge you even more money!
