This two day festival offers the chance to witness stunt kite flying, giant show kites and art kites,and will offer the opportunity for children to participate in kite workshops for only £1, as well as enter their teddy bear into the ever popular Teddy Drop.
This year's event will welcome some of the worlds top kite makers, from as far as Germany and Australia who will be amazing visitors with their kites over the festival weekend. The Princess of the Bali Royal family, RA Helmi Ginanti, will also be at the festival flying traditional Bali and Indonesian kites.
Flyers closer to home will also be taking part in this year's festival, including Cheshire born world champion stunt kite flyers Carl and James Robertshaw and Andrew Beattie with his array of show kites.

I was only there 45 mins and that was long enough.
It was totally packed there, never seen New Brighton so busy.
The commentator was a bit weird though:
"Kite flyers are generally nice people, approachable and friendly"
"you can buy any kite from a toy shop, but it won't be as good as buying one from a proper kite shop"
