It's not the stretch of road, it's the pub itself.
Some people go there after family members funerals, so if you're to have a meet there, some people don't want to go as it's not a great memory of someone close to you who is now dead.

This is an 'unofficial' pub meet, not an 'official' members meet.
Therefore, there are no car parks, just sit in a pub and have a drink and a laugh

You raise a good point to be honest Joe.
Dont wanna shit on your parade Sanchez, but last time I was in that area (December), I was Carrying my Grandad through to the chapel of rest, so its still gives some pretty vivd memories bud

there aint no parade, but the arrow is just as close to the cemmo, so surly its the same reasons in there as it is the cherry, or any pub for that matter, count me out.

Must back Sanchez on this one, we buried my sisters little baby in Landican a few weeks back, and had the gathering at the Arrowe. So I have very recent and painful memories of the place. Neither Landican or the Arrowe bother me however; I just get on with life. And I think the Cherry Orchard is a fantastic establishment. How does one visit a grave to pay their respects if they wont even go down the road located next to the cemetry? Dont get me wrong, I could understand if it was a place of significance during life to the person who passed over etc... I might be going to this, unsure as yet though, if it had have been the Wed I would have been deffo but might not be local on Thursday am afraid, gotta see what happens. So am not actually putting a vote in for either place atm.

any where around that area is going t have memories, i burried nan there bet most people on site can say they now of a family memebr there, so does that mean all areas are out of bounds, not being nasty but i think its OTT using the cemetary as a reason not to go.
at the end of the day most peopel after the funerals go the pub get pissed laugh the dogs dengerlers off and have a gud time which is what we all want to do
